We recently purchased a Chevy Traverse High Country at Walser. Damian Dufault was our salesman and did a great job of explaining everything we needed to know. They were changing software the day we were there and it caused a long delay in getting our paperwork. Between Damian and Ian, the sales manager, they made us feel comfortable during the long wait time and were very apologetic and helpful in making our purchase an enjoyable one.
Made an appointment for an oil change, tire rotation, and a warranty repair of the infotainment system. Oil change and tire rotation were completed within a half hour - fantastic! Then I sat there for two hours waiting for the software update/warranty repair to find out that it didn't work and they have to order a replacement part which will take about two weeks to obtain. Technically this isn't the dealership's fault - they're doing what the warranty repair requires them to do, but the tech made it sound as though this is the common issue with this warranty repair - if so, why doesn't GM have these parts readily available for the dealership to swap out when needed? Instead, I have to wait two weeks, take more time off work, travel the 45 minutes to the dealership and then wait another several hours for them to install and update the system. There's no survey that I can take to reflect this towards GM themselves so unfortunately I have to push this on to the dealership. 3 star for the great, quick oil change/tire rotation, -2 star for the inconvenience this warranty repair is causing, not only with the repair itself, but the entire 14 months I've owned the vehicle with a hunk of trash infotainment system.

We were told our Jeep compass would need the brakes fixed because it sat so long on the lot. That was fine. It’s why we agreed to purchase the vehicle. Polar chev told us they would fix the brakes at no cost to us. We brought it in on July 8th. My wife and daughter sat there for three hours for them to tell us they can’t fix the brakes and that we need to bring it to a Jeep dealer to have the calipers retracted or somthing. We could bring it back to Pokar after that and they would again try and fix it. So now getting the brakes fixed that polar told us they would do, is now landing on our shoulders. Part of getting the brakes fixed is actually getting the car to a Jeep dealer, have them do whatever they need to do, and then polar can do what they promised (I have a signed work order I’ll be using if I need too) they would do. The only thing we should need to do is drop off the car we bought (Jeep compass) from polar, and pick it up when the work has been completed. Everything in between is not our problem. We never would have purchased it had we known any of this. I have replied multiple times to the email thread from them. Zero responses. I asked for someone to call me, manager etc, nothing. Completely ghosted. We are realizing now that we bought it, nothing else matters. Very poor customer service. Which sucks, cause the sale process was so awesome, I had planned to come back this fall when my truck is paid off to trade it. Not going happen now. All we want done is what Polar Chev told us they would do. So now we have a nice Jeep, with crappy brakes. And we are left to figure it out. I realize Walser is huge, and Polar Chev is big, and this little review won’t make a difference. But word of mouth will carry some weight. Regret going to Polar.
Everything was a great experience from the sale of the truck I purchased from Walser. Then I had a repair done around a week later I was amazed by the friendly staff and commitment of the staff. I will highly recommend Walser Polar Chevrolet to all my friends and family! Thank you!
