This was continuation of rotors & pads job - initiated in April. Truck brought back multiple times due to shaking and squealing. I don't think it's reasonable that replacement rotors and pads do not match the performance of what the truck rolls out the factory with. Quiet brakes. And smooth rotors that I don't have to replace for 70+ thousand miles. Service Dept didn't agree with me that anything less than what was sub-standard. They tried to pass it off as normal. Culminated in Service Dept recommending replacement of calipers as the next thing to try replacing. This ignores the fact that the 2nd set of replacement rotors were buttery smooth. Were it not for the squealing, I would not have brought the truck back. Also-calipers replaced at 50k miles is very troubling and doesn't inspire a lot of confidence. I feel as though the service Dept is more interested in blaming things on the user and protecting the bottom line. It also amazes me that Chevy R&D doesn't have an answer to this. Why are these replacement rotors so weak? What if I actually towed with this truck? Would they just melt like butter? Or is the Service Dept not doing something correct? Ultimately - sold truck to dealership. Have no further interest in having to fight for what should just be reasonable expectations of a rotors/pads job. Confidence in Chevy parts also not very high after that experience.

Essence did a great job with us. It’s not hassle price but of course they try to make you the margin somewhere. Finance guy comes back and tried to get us to take 8.75% financing with A tier credit. I told him we would go somewhere else then it drops to 6.33%. That’s transparency in pricing? Then of course we get worked over for all the extras. Same games, different dealership!

We had a great experience working with Walser Polar Chevrolet. The staff were friendly and helpful. Not pushy or too "sales-y." We especially appreciated working with Steven. He was knowledgeable, quick to respond to questions or requests, even on a day off, and was helpful throughout the process. Doing big things like purchasing a vehicle remotely can be a challenge, but both the dealership and Steven made things smooth and simple to accomplish most of the tasks needed remotely.

I brought my 2021 Checy 6.2L Trail Boss into Polar Chevrolet for a brake replacement, and the initial repair was completed using AC Delco brakes. After picking up the truck, I noticed the next day that once I drove over 45 mph and then applied the brakes, there was a vibration/noise issue, along with heat concerns in the rear brakes. I brought the truck back to Polar, and Todd, the Service Manager, took ownership of the issue. He provided a rental vehicle and made sure I was taken care of while the problem was being diagnosed and resolved. Over the next couple of weeks, Polar stayed with the issue and did not give up. The team replaced the brakes multiple times, swapped tires with another truck, and continued troubleshooting when the issue remained. Todd then brought in a GM service representative, who ordered factory brakes and rotors directly from Detroit. Once Polar installed the factory parts, the issue was resolved. Todd believed there may have been a defective AC Delco brake pad issue and was working with AC Delco on that concern. Overall, this was a strong customer service experience. The issue was frustrating, but Polar handled it the right way. Todd communicated consistently, kept me informed, provided a rental, and stayed committed until the truck was fixed. This is a great customer service story for Polar Chevrolet and GM. Todd and the service team deserve credit for how they handled the situation. Nice work Todd!
