Designed from the ground up on Chevy’s Ultium Platform, the 2024 Chevy Silverado EV is poised to dominate the all-electric truck market thanks to its incredible efficiency and head-turning looks. Chevrolet has taken some serious time to develop the Silverado EV to ensure it is worthy of the Silverado nameplate. This research & development has paid off, and this year we expect the EV pickup truck market to be shaken to its core with the arrival of the 2024 Chevy Silverado EV.

Exterior & Utility

The 2024 Chevrolet Silverado EV commands instant attention thanks to its muscular new design and modern lighting. Thin LED running lights extend through a light bar on the grille, meeting at an illuminated Chevrolet bowtie logo in the center. This light show creates an unmatched presence in low lighting while providing the utmost visibility while driving. The muscular design of the Silverado EV is not all for looks though, as it was designed with aerodynamics in mind. The flowing side profile design allows air to effortlessly pass over the truck, creating less drive and increased efficiency. Multi-Flex Tailgate

Even though the 2024 Silverado EV is a beautiful truck, the utility was not sacrificed and was one of the main focal points in the Silverado EV’s design. An example of this is the Multi-Flex Midgate, a versatile pass-through that provides numerous configurations for the storage and transport of cargo. This Midgate design allows you to expand the floor of the truck bed into the cabin, which until now has been a dream of most pickup truck drivers. The result of this is the ability to fit items up to 10 ft. 10 in. in length.

This incredible tailgate design also features something called Flex Forward design. This design gives the tailgate a plethora of additional functionality which is outlined below.

• Primary Gate Load Stop: Helps prevent items from sliding out of the bed.
• Easy Access: The inner gate folds down, allowing you to reach further into the bed with ease.
• Full-Width Step: The inner gate folds down into a single large step, increasing ease of use and allowing it to hold up to 375 pounds.
• Inner Gate Load Stop: Helps prevent second-tier items from sliding out of the bed.
• Inner Gate with Work Surface: When opened, this surface provides a place for laptop and blueprint work as well as second-tier loading.

Trim Levels

The 2024 Silverado EV keeps things simple with 2 unique trim levels. Sometimes less is more, and the Silverado EV is living proof of that.

• Work Truck: Most truck buyers are familiar with the Work Truck (4WT) trim that is offered on Silverado models. This base trim offers the utmost in practicality and utility while also giving the driver a variety of creature comforts. The Silverado EV Work Truck goes even further past this notion offering an even more impressive spread of features and capability. Ready to tackle any job ahead of it, the Silverado EV 4WT offers a staggering 450 miles of range plus up to 10,000 pounds of max towing capability.
• Trail Boss: The Trail Boss trim is another trim level that Silverado owners and fans will instantly recognize. The Trail Boss, like its name suggests, gives the Silverado some serious off-roading features as well as additional features and technology over its lower trim levels. We do not have a ton of information on the 2024 Silverado EV Trail Boss, but we anticipate it to feature upgraded suspension, wheels, and exterior body panels over the Work Truck trim. It can be seen in preproduction photos sporting a steel front bumper with two distinct red tow hooks, further emphasizing its dominance off-road.

Interior & Technology

The interior of the all-new 2024 Chevy Silverado EV successfully captures the essence of the new exterior design. It achieves this by surrounding the driver and passengers with quality materials, and the newest in technology features. Facing the driver is a 17-inch LCD infotainment screen paired with an 11-inch driver instrument display. Google built-in integration is also found within the cabin. Multiple power outlets and a spacious center console are also found within the Silverado EV, further exemplifying the utility of the truck.

Ultifi & Super Cruise

As one would expect, the 2024 Silverado EV is packed with some insane new technology. One of these groundbreaking technology features is called Ultifi. Ultifi is a software platform that allows seamless delivery of vehicle updates, personalization, and new apps to drivers on demand. There will also be regularly delivered software improvements through Ultifi, which will ensure your 2024 Silverado EV will always feel modern and cutting edge. Paired with Ultifi is Chevrolet’s Super Cruise technology, which allows for hands-free driving and trailering on 400,000 miles of roads in the U.S. and Canada.

This offers a substantial amount of added traction, allowing for safer driving with some added smiles. Four-Corner Air Ride Adaptive Suspension is also available on the 2024 Silverado EV. This air-ride suspension allows you to adjust your ride based on the conditions of the road, and even lower and raise the height of your Silverado EV to allow you to get in and out more easily. As if things couldn’t get more exciting, the Silverado EV also has an all-new four-wheel steering system which helps you make tight turns and maneuver a trailer confidently.

Safety & Warranty

Due to the Silverado EV being a freshly announced vehicle, we do not have information on the entire scope of its safety features. What we do know is the 2024 Silverado EV will come standard with Chevy Safety Assist, a package of six advanced safety features designed to give you the utmost confidence on the road.
