2020 CORVETTE STINGRAY C8 — IT’S HERE!
The 2020 Corvette C8 was released on July 18, 2019. Now that a few weeks have passed, the dust has settled, and we’ve learned a lot more about this brand-new sports car. The more we learn, the more excited we get to offer this state-of-the-art vehicle to our customers at Walser Polar Chevrolet.
The basics of this vehicle is that it’s the 8th generation of the classic Chevrolet Corvette, originally introduced in 1953. This is the first mid-engine Corvette, meaning the engine is located behind the driver rather than up in front. This vehicle produces 495 horsepower with its advanced V8 engine and features an eight-speed dual clutch transmission. The best part-the new Corvette C8 will start at under $60,000 MSRP.
One unique feature of the new 2020 Chevy Corvette includes an automatic suspension lift. What this does is allows the new Corvette to automatically detect speed bumps, curbs, potholes, and other obstacles to automatically raise the ultra-low front end of the car. This helps the Corvette avoid damage to the front-end when encountering these road conditions. In just 2.8 seconds, the front-end 2020 Corvette raises up 1.6 inches, giving it the extra clearance it needs to get over typical road obstacles. This can be programmed to utilize GPS to automatically remember locations in which the suspension lift has been used before or used manually when one of these obstacles is encountered.
The base GT1 model of the 2020 Corvette Stingray C8 includes a Bose 10-speaker premium audio system, Apple Car Play and Android Auto capability, dual-zone climate control, power-adjustable leather seats, an 8-inch touch screen display, an HD backup camera, and keyless entry. It will also include stainless steel exhaust, four-wheel disc brakes, and silver aluminum 19-inch (in front) and 20-inch (in back) wheels with all-season sport tires. All standard features can be compared at this link.
An interesting option-you’ll be able to customize five digits of your Corvette’s VIN number for an additional $5,000.00.
Another great new feature of the 2020 Corvette is Chevy’s new online customization tool called the Visualizer. This allows you to customize your very own Corvette with all of the available colors, options, and accessories. You can customize a brand-new 2020 Corvette C8 online at Chevrolet’s website here.
