2024 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 TurboMax Engine Update
What is a TurboMax engine? Earlier in 2023, Chevrolet announced some exciting news surrounding their tried and true 2.7L High-Output Turbo-Four engine. This powerful, yet efficient, motor that powers some of their Silverado 1500 lineup is now branded as the TurboMax. This exciting change to the name of this engine is only the start, as it signifies Chevrolet further refining its product and adding in some additional customer benefits aside from the pure functionality of the motor.
Chevrolet recently released some major news about its newly dubbed TurboMax motor. The 2024 Silverado 1500 will increase its 5 year/60,000 mile powertrain warranty to a staggering 5 year/100,000 mile powertrain warranty. This best-in-class powertrain warranty matches the same warranty that comes with the Duramax-powered Silverado pickups. This update to the already healthy warranty that prior iterations of the 2.7L Turbo Engine used, shows that Chevrolet is backing the engineering, durability, and performance of their newly branded Chevy TurboMax engine. This new Chevy TurboMax powertrain warranty will be available for model year 2024 trucks.
You may be wondering, what makes this motor so sought after? The TurboMax engine has been engineered by Chevrolet to provide best-in-class engine specs with 430 lb.-ft of torque and 310 horsepower. This 2.7L Turbo engine also achieves 17 mpg city and 21 mpg highway, which is no slump in its class. Production of the 2024 Silverado begins this month, July, and the newly branded TurboMax engine will be available across the Silverado lineup, from WT to Trail Boss. On top of all these positive new updates, Chevrolet also allows customers to opt for an available 9,500-pound max towing capacity. The 2024 Silverado 1500 release date is slated for later this month, keep updated on our Chevrolet 2024 Silverado inventory below.

Awesome
When are you going to produce a Diesel “Turbomax” I am a Diesel man through & Through. I don’t need a 7 liter Cummins! I need a Big Bore Over sized Turbo Diesel 4 Cylinder I was looking at a 2024 3.0 Diesel Silverado but I think I will wait a few years to see if you make a real “SmallTruck”
